Toxic mushrooms

These cause poisoning. Severity ranges from a day of illness to hospital, but not one of them becomes edible after boiling, soaking or salting.

Fly Agaric
Amanita muscaria
Poisonous. It contains ibotenic acid and muscimol and can cause nausea, confusion, agitation, drowsiness and other neurological symptoms. The strength varies between fruitbodies, so appearance does not predict toxicity.
