Ticks, mosquitoes and midges

Three pages, and the three answers are not the same kind of thing. For ticks we say only whether they are out, with no number. For mosquitoes there is a number that changes with the place. For midges there is a number whose biggest limit — wind — we do not measure at all, and that is worth knowing before you read it.

This page is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor. It describes insects and seasons; it does not recommend treatment. If a bite is followed by fever, by a mark that spreads, or by anything that does not heal, the thing to do is see a doctor.
